Regio-Plants is establishing an interdisciplinary and transnational research network in which the partners (adsi, University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Technical University of Munich, FFoQSI - Austrian Competence Centre for Feed and Food Quality, Safety & Innovation) are searching for new active ingredients from local plants. In addition, they are expanding their knowledge of local health-promoting plants such as pome fruit (especially apples), also with regard to the selection of varieties, cultivation methods and storage conditions. The target groups of the activities are companies (primary producers and processing companies) and consumers as well as the scientific community.
